What Problem Does The Nemots Aim to Solve?

Founded by passionate trading card players, The Nemots aims to solve several problems with mainstream digital trading card games. Players spend hundreds of dollars per year acquiring digital cards to allow them to play, however; they do not own these cards. Instead, players purchase access to use the cards, and their accompanying gameplay mechanics, within the game's centralised platform. This is to say that, theoretically, a digital card game developer could remove a card from the game, adjust the card to offer different mechanics, like in the case of Hearthstone, and even suspend a player's account, severing them from their collection of perhaps thousands of cards that they spent actual money acquiring.

Additionally, players often have no means of selling or trading their collections to other players, rendering the cards worthless from a monetary perspective. The Nemots, enabled by blockchain technologies, aim to revolutionise digital collectable card gaming, allowing players to own their digital cards independent of the platforms hosted by the game developer while making digital trading cards transparent, scarce, and underpinned by a secure and sustainable economy that protects a player's assets and investment.
